The #ULTRALEICHTBAUSITZ from csi entwicklungsstechnik, AUTOMOTIVE MANAGEMENT CONSULTING (AMC) and Alba tooling & engineering has won the world renowned Altair Enlighten Award 2019 in the category "Future of Lightweighting".
Just eight weeks after the German Innovation Award 2019 was awarded to the #ULTRALEICHTBAUSITZ, the approximately 10 kg lightweight prototype once again caused a furore - the Altair Enlighten Award honors highly innovative ideas, processes, materials and technologies in lightweight construction and was launched on 05 August 2019 in Awarded Traverse City, Michigan.
The radically innovative lightweight construction strategy of the project initiators csi, AMC and Alba tooling & engineering is based on a continuous digital process chain, which made it possible to realize the #ULTRALEICHTBAUSITZ in just one construction stage.
Through a correspondingly agile project, process and supply chain management, the project was implemented from the idea to the hardware product in less than seven months.
In addition to the initiators, who were also honored for their entrepreneurial courage and innovative capability, 3D | CORE, Robert Hofmann GmbH, covestro, LBK and climatex participated in the development of the headquarters.
The target markets for the multimaterial #ULTRALEICHTBAUSITZ are hypercars, sports cars and future aviation applications. The #ULTRALEICHTBAUSITZ thus opens up completely new technical, ecological, economic and social potential in integrative automotive lightweight construction of the future - encouraging lightweight construction in pure culture.
