To ensure that the laminated parts are sufficiently pressed during the activation process, they must be placed on a precisely manufactured negative mold. At the same time, this form must ensure a uniform vacuum supply and the possibility of covering certain areas of the laminated part (e. g. sharp-edged or glued spots).

After the adhesive has been applied to the backing and sewing dress and the decor is in the right position, the adhesive must be heated and thus reactively effective. This adhesive activation must be carried out under the influence of pressure to prevent detachment. The compressive force should be evenly effective on the entire decorative surface to avoid unevenness and pressure points (3D membrane).
