In order to increase awareness of Alba, RTS (Regional TV Salzburg) visited our headquarters in Forstau on 28 April. The motto of the filming was "Alba as an employer". The filming was a complete success. Many thanks again to the staff for their great support!

JEC Innovation Award for KTM motocross brake cover
TM Technologies & Bcomp, with Alba as tooling technology partner, win the prestigious JEC Innovation Award for their motocross brake cover. Alba is proud to have contributed significantly to this innovative project as a development partner. In the category "Sport, Leisure & Recreation", the motocross brake cover is honoured with the JEC Award. The jury was particularly impressed by product benefits such as functionality, design, scalability, sustainability and an end-of-life scenario that includes recycling of the parts.
The brake cover is the first market-ready product that combines motorsport-grade natural fibre composites and road-grade bio-based thermoplastics with a recyclable joining technology. Compared to a traditionally injection moulded part, the brake cover saves weight, has higher stiffness and has a much lower carbon footprint.
After the ultra-lightweight seat and the Ebusco 3.0 electric bus, this is the third internationally recognised and award-winning lightweight construction project in which Alba has played a major role. With these projects, our team has once again shown that it lives up to the slogan "Creating Individual Technologies".

Anniversary celebration
On Friday, 24 June our Alba anniversary party took place, where long-serving employees were honoured with a celebration and a small gift for their 20, 30 and even 40 years of service and loyalty. We are proud to be able to congratulate 27 employees of our Forstau and Radstadt sites on their long service anniversaries!
Slovenj Gradec site:
Takeover of the L-shape of ADIENT facilities
On June the 1st Alba Slovenia completed the process of purchasing a portion of ADIENT's premises in Slovenj Gradec. Taking over the premises enabled Alba Slovenia the necessary storage space of raw materials and end products Porsche Macan Back Panel serial production.

Traditional company picnic
The last Sunday in May marks a date on which Alba Slovenia organises its traditionally tool-maker picnic. Despite the bad weather most of the employees gathered for the picnic, mingled and had a good time.
Vilsbiburg/Slovenj Gradec site:
Bosch Germany Project
Alba Slovenia has joined forces with Alba MMB on a project for Bosch, production plant based in Eisenach. Alba Slovenia manufactured and will assembly a load-bearing structure for conveyor belts at the customer premises. The project is known under “Verkettung 1-5”.
Slovenj Gradec site:
Greiner production line relocation from Tabor to Valašske Meziriči
Alba Slovenia is relocating the second complete production line for Greiner Perfoam. the workers are dismantling it at Greiner’s location Tabor from the 10th until 27th of June. After the line is dismantled the logistic team will organize the transport to Greiner’s location in Valašske Meziriči. After the trucks are loaded the team will be heading to Valašske Meziriči to assemble the line in Greiner’s new facilities and optimize the line to customer’s new request.

Extension of the contract with food provider Gorenje Gostinstvo
Due to the company's desire to provide hot healthy meals to all its employees we are pleased to announce that we successfully extended our contract with Gorenje Gostinstvo, which is set-up for Alba Slovenia’s individual needs and will be in affect from June the 1st 2022. The agreement now includes a healthier 4th menu and returns the salad bar. Gorenje Gostinstvo also is open to consider realistic suggestions of Alba Slovenia employees regarding the composition of each menu.

Letter of recognition from Faculty of Polymers Slovenj Gradec
In May, Alba Slovenia received a letter of recognition for its important contribution to the development of the faculty and the education of students from the Faculty of Polymer Technology Slovenj Gradec. In the last year and a half Alba Slovenia has been cooperating with the faculty in various fields:
- Company and workflow presentations, including sales, engineering and manufacturing.
- Enabling internships to students
- Supporting the technical laboratory of the faculty
- Testing mechanical properties for Alba’s development projects
- Collaborating on diploma and master thesis
Slovenj Gradec site:
Visit of students of mechatronics and mechanical engineering
On June 22nd, students of mechatronics and mechanical engineering from Ravne na Koroškem visited Alba Slovenia. Through active presentation of company, they were introduced to what Alba is capable of doing and what is our core business. After presentation, we guided them through R&D department and they could see the working atmosphere and projects that are currently in house. After that, we went to the production hall, where they could see dissembled Kenitra line and departments of tooling, CNC milling and assembly. We finished our tour in Alba-Technikum centre, where they could see how the phase of development looks like and could ask if something needed more detailed explanation.
