- Alba tooling & engineering GmbH will be taken over by the German investors Markus Moldzio and Dr Johannes Werhahn on 1 April 2024

Forstau (A), April 2024: Alba tooling & engineering GmbH has been in insolvency proceedings without self-administration since November 2023. The takeover by the investors Markus Moldzio and Dr Johannes Werhahn was approved by the competition authority. As a result, the Salzburg Regional Court approved the application for the takeover and approved the closure of Alba tooling & engineering GmbH on 31 March 2024.
Course set for the continuation of the company
The business operations of Alba tooling & engineering GmbH will be transferred to the investors Markus Moldzio and Dr Johannes Werhahn from 1 April 2024. The Alba brand name will be retained. The new company will operate under the name Alba Industries GmbH. The focus of the new owners is on continuing business operations, stabilising and expanding activities for the entire customer base, maintaining expertise and returning to profitability. The entire range of services will be retained, core employees and know-how carriers will stay on board, real estate, machinery and equipment will be taken over for the most part.
The Forstau, Radstadt and Šurany (SK) sites will remain in place
The company headquarters in Forstau and the production plants in Radstadt and Šurany (Slovakia) will be retained and will continue their business operations as usual.
Making the Alba Group competitive and future-proof
In order to make the company competitive and future-proof, a number of restructuring measures will be or have already been realised during the insolvency. All foreign branches in the USA, Mexico, China, India and Germany will be closed. Sales and service for Alba products in the USA and Mexico will continue. Further steps are being examined and prepared. With these measures, the Alba Group will operate in a more efficient and sustainable structure than before, focussing even more strongly on the core competencies and performance of the individual business areas.
